The jet photos haunt me. I can’t understand how and/or why people have so much hatred flowing through their veins…he didn’t deserve any of what they did to him.
But I have so much love and respect for mamie …to handle the entire situation the way she did with poise and determination, regardless of what anyone said or thought, was so amazing. She knew what she needed to do, because her son was never going to get any justice without her speaking up.
I’ll just never understand why there’s so much hate in our world.
Boycott... What evil person green lit this film...? We get enough of this hate in reality. foh
Looks exceptionally good this is going to be heartbreaking and touching movie for 2022
The first time I heard about Emmet Till was from a black TA when I was in middle school. I was exactly his age at the time and when I saw the pictures of his body and how horrific the situation was, it was too much for my mind to handle. The fact that I had never even heard a single thing about that story until she told me about it just speaks volumes about what the education system does and doesn't teach you at a young age. In a world that tries time and time again to erase and push away history, I'm glad there are those who inform generations about the evil and injustices committed throughout the years.
I remember seeing photos of Emmet after looking him up for history and I’m still haunted. He didn’t even look like a young boy anymore. His face was so bloated and beaten he looked like a balloon and this mother’s fight to show the world is an important piece of history. Racism has killed too many and it’s still going on. This story must be told.
Finally we have an actual movie about this horrific story. RIP Emmett Till. Now we needa movie on the Tulsa, Oklahoma massacre
Now make the nonstop inner-city murder your business & who is behind it.
I cannot see this movie, it will bring so many negative emotions inside of me. I try to stay positive. Because the Bible says at Acts 24:15 there will be a resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous. They will live right on the earth. Emmet Till will be resurrected, or brought back to life. No more wicked or hateful people. Psalm 37:29 says, The righteous will possess the earth and live forever on it.” Look in your Bible good people. God is in control, he is waiting for people change their lives for the better do they can live during the time where there is paradise!
There's always a lot of talk about "Colorism" and actors not looking like the historical figures they are portraying, Nina Simone, for example. The actor chosen to be Emmit Till is very much darker than Till actually was, to the point I didn't realize that was supposed be Till at first, but I haven't heard one comment about it.
I think the lady who played Mamie Till in the Hulu show was great.
I wanted to direct a movie bout Emmett till to keep his story alive in the future but I’m so happy they finally made a movie bout him
He deserves it🙏🏼
Why did it take so long to make this film? This story needed to be told on the big screen decades ago.
Can't wait to see this movie, I remember reading about Emmit Till at age 8, I was horrified and still think of this when I hear about other happenings still going on in this country. Raceisim is still alive. I hope this movie is respectfull of all the family members, that are still around and dosen't cut corners in the telling of this movie that everyone should watch in every school, church, or Colledge. Give us the real truth
All respect to Emmet Till and may his soul Rest In Peace.😢
This movie is gonna be emotional but, it’s a must see. It’s a really powerful film! I want to see it! We have to see it because obviously, we’re still dealing with racism, it’s important to treat people respectfully and equally no matter what race, background, or culture, and know the type of person that Emmett till was and the mother-son relationship🙏🏿❤️💪🏿✊🏾🔥💥
Also, honestly, I know the story of Emmett Till but, I don’t really know if he really wolf- whistled or complimented Carolyn Bryant. Does anybody know? I bet that Emmett till didn’t do anything wrong to the lady.
That lady should still be arrested. She’s the one who created this nightmare for everyone especially Emmett’s mother. That was her only child!🤦🏾♀️😔😢😡😒💔
I can’t watch this, I won’t be be able to stomach it
I would have loved to see this 10 to 20 years ago. Not now though.
We need to learn from our past so we won’t repeat it.
