It was 2-1😂😂warriors wasn’t losing at home so even if ja didn’t get hurt warriors would’ve been up 3-1 either way going back to Memphis for game 5💪warriors only home loss came to the Celtics in game 1 of the finals💯
Grizzlies are barking and chirping at everyone. The Warriors are just handling business when they match up.
As for legit rivalries in the NBA right now; nothing really compares to the old school Lakers-Celtics in the 80’s; Bulls-Pistons early 90’s, Bulls-Knicks mid to late 90’s; Knicks-Heat late 90’s early 00’s. Those were matchups that were physical and players wanted to throw hands before, during, and after the games. It’s almost impossible to have those kinds of rivalries with the rules now. Ever since Malice at the Palace, they crack down on that stuff.
The most recent comparisons I saw where Clippers-Warriors from about 2011-2017. The bad blood there was real, although most of the dirty physical stuff came from the Clippers. (Big Baby taking out Jermaine O’Neal’s knee on an out of bounds play was particularly dirty, and no foul was ever called). As for rivalries where both teams were winning Warriors-Cavs was the obvious one. Of the other big rivalries in the past decade, they were all one-sided in terms of winning: Heat over the Celtics, Warriors over the Rockets, etc.
Last real rivalries were GSW vs Cavs

It’s not a rivalry. The Grizzlies haven’t won anything worth anything. They haven’t proven they can beat the Warriors. When it really matters they can’t get past the Dubs and the Dubs are the defending champs. What is there to rival?

Team rivalries are not what they use to be, based on players teaming up with each other. But, based on the barking on social media, there are more individual rivalries.

UK has the best sports rivalry manifested in their football. It is not even about winning, it’s about the history. So you have Arsenal vs Spurs, it’s Liverpool vs Man U etc. The rivalry continues even when one or both teams are underperforming. The rivalry is always there.
