The 2024 model year brings a slew of enhancements to the Q4 e-tron, including a refined suspension, heightened efficiency, a distinctive sound, and an upgraded standard equipment package. The drive concept has been optimized, and the charging power has been ramped up. Additionally, the driver assistance systems have been expanded, now offering adaptive cruise assist that aids in lane changes. These revamped models will be up for orders starting September 26, with a starting price of 52,950 euros. The Q4 e-tron models are equipped with a sizable battery boasting 77 kWh of net energy. Thanks to improved cell chemistry, the DC charging power has been enhanced, allowing a charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 28 minutes under ideal conditions. The quattro models can now achieve a peak DC charging power of 175 kW, while the rear-wheel-drive variants max out at 135 kW. To prolong battery lifespan, the battery protection function automatically caps the charge level at 80%. The e-tron route planner, which prioritizes high-performance HPC stations, ensures intelligent trip and charge planning. The Audi Q4 e-tron models have undergone significant drive system upgrades. Both the rear-wheel drive and quattro all-wheel drive variants now feature a permanently excited synchronous machine (PSM) on the rear axle. This update introduces a completely reengineered PSM known for its superior efficiency and power. As a result, the models benefit from an extended range and enhanced power delivery. For instance, the Audi Q4 Sportback 45 e-tron can achieve a range of up to 562 kilometers in the WLTP cycle. The top-tier models, Audi Q4 55 e-tron quattro and Audi Q4 Sportback 55 e-tron quattro, can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds, with a top speed of 180 km/h for all models. In line with Audi's signature DNA, the suspension has been fine-tuned to strike a balance between comfort, driving pleasure, and stability. The steering characteristics and damper tuning have been specially adapted to offer harmonious damping, improved steering response, and tighter load control. The Q4 e-tron models now respond more directly to steering changes, ensuring greater sportiness and agility. A new feature introduced is the assisted lane changes, which, in conjunction with adaptive cruise assist, facilitates lane changes at speeds above 90 km/h on highways. Audi has revealed an assortment of enhancements in the powertrain, equipment, and suspension for its 2024 Q4 e-tron range of electric SUVs. The spotlight is on the elevated efficiency, broader range, intensified charging capacity, revamped suspension, novel acoustic signature, and additional standard features. With advanced Optional Adaptive Cruise Assist, the Audi Q4 e-tron and its Sportback variant, the models facilitate assisted transitions between lanes above 56 mph on highways. Optimized Battery Utilization and Features The battery maintains its 77 kWh of usable energy, with an improved cell composition which elevates DC charging capacity, achieving a 10-80% charge in approximately 28 minutes. The dual-motor quattro models attain a peak DC charging capacity of 175 kW, contrasted with the 135 kW maximum for the rear-wheel-drive models. A unique addition is a battery safeguard feature that restricts the charging level to 80% to prolong battery longevity. The Audi Q4 e-tron models have introduced battery conditioning. This enables the thermal management system of the vehicle to cool the battery once a predetermined temperature is surpassed post-driving or charging. Enhanced Motor and Performance The 2024 series introduces a rear electric motor for heightened efficiency and power, standard across all variants. This synchronous machine provides 210 kW (282 horsepower), which may parallel the unit unveiled by Volkswagen on its ID series of electric vehicles. With this new motor, the Audi Q4 Sportback 45 e-tron is reported to provide a maximum range of 349 miles, an increase from the prior 332 miles, due to optimal thermal management and efficiency. Acceleration benefits from the amplified power of the new rear motor, enabling the models to achieve 0-62 mph in 6.7 seconds. Comprehensive Equipment and Sound Signature In addition to advancements in powertrain, new adjustments in the suspension promise a harmonious setup, offering enriched comfort, driving enjoyment, and stability. Audi has enriched the standard features in the 2024 Audi Q4 e-tron series, including enhanced navigation and infotainment systems, a fully digital Audi virtual cockpit, a power-operated tailgate, and heated front seats. Audi expands the optional features palette with a new Edition S line that amalgamates unique body shades and contrasting trim, 21-inch bronze matte wheels, Matrix LED headlights, and Audi’s symbol in a bronze finish. Audi is steadfastly advancing its commitment to electric vehicles, with the Audi Q4 e-tron family playing a pivotal role in the brand's impressive growth in the first half of 2023, witnessing a surge of 51.2%. The 2024 model year brings a slew of enhancements to the Q4 e-tron, including a refined suspension, heightened efficiency, a distinctive sound, and an upgraded standard equipment package. The drive concept has been optimized, and the charging power has been ramped up. Additionally, the driver assistance systems have been expanded, now offering adaptive cruise assist that aids in lane changes. These revamped models will be up for orders starting September 26, with a starting price of 52,950 euros. The Q4 e-tron models are equipped with a sizable battery boasting 77 kWh of net energy. Thanks to improved cell chemistry, the DC charging power has been enhanced, allowing a charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 28 minutes under ideal conditions. The quattro models can now achieve a peak DC charging power of 175 kW, while the rear-wheel-drive variants max out at 135 kW. To prolong battery lifespan, the battery protection function automatically caps the charge level at 80%. The e-tron route planner, which prioritizes high-performance HPC stations, ensures intelligent trip and charge planning. The Audi Q4 e-tron models have undergone significant drive system upgrades. Both the rear-wheel drive and quattro all-wheel drive variants now feature a permanently excited synchronous machine (PSM) on the rear axle. This update introduces a completely reengineered PSM known for its superior efficiency and power. As a result, the models benefit from an extended range and enhanced power delivery. For instance, the Audi Q4 Sportback 45 e-tron can achieve a range of up to 562 kilometers in the WLTP cycle. The top-tier models, Audi Q4 55 e-tron quattro and Audi Q4 Sportback 55 e-tron quattro, can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds, with a top speed of 180 km/h for all models. In line with Audi's signature DNA, the suspension has been fine-tuned to strike a balance between comfort, driving pleasure, and stability. The steering characteristics and damper tuning have been specially adapted to offer harmonious damping, improved steering response, and tighter load control. The Q4 e-tron models now respond more directly to steering changes, ensuring greater sportiness and agility. A new feature introduced is the assisted lane changes, which, in conjunction with adaptive cruise assist, facilitates lane changes at speeds above 90 km/h on highways. The standard equipment has also been upgraded, with features like Audi MMI navigation plus, Audi connect Navigation & Infotainment, and the fully digital 10.25-inch instrument panel Audi virtual cockpit now being standard. The Audi Q4 50-etron has 295 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque, it gets 388 km/236 miles of range, has an 82 kWh battery and quattro AWD. In the US, there is also a RWD model, the Audi Q4 40-etron with the same size battery but less power, 201 horsepower and more range, 265 miles.The Audi Q4 comes standard with LED headlights, available Matrix design headlights, LED taillights, heat insulating side and rear windows, high gloss black and chrome exterior accents, aluminum roof rails and 19” wheels, available 20”. The aerodynamic design of the Q4 features a low drag coefficient of 0.28 minimizing resistance. The Audio Q4 provides ample interior space and storage including, dedicated bottle holders on all four doors. There is a mix of hard plastic, piano black and soft materials including, leather seating. The integrated 10.1” touchscreen and 10.25” digital driver display gives it an upscale feel. It also has an available Sonos premium sound system with strategically placed speakers throughout the vehicle. The Audi Q4 e-tron is the first Audi to feature an available augmented reality head up display which provides real-time vehicle information directly in your line of sight. NEW 2024 Audi Q4 e tron - Exterior and Interior Review The Audi Q4 e-tron is a family-focused electric SUV, which takes on alternatives such as the Ford Mustang Mach-E, the Kia EV6, the Hyundai Ioniq 5, and of course the Volkswagen ID.4 and Skoda Enyaq – both of which are mechanically identical underneath. There's only the 77kWh battery option now and, in 40 guise, it can take you for a claimed 314 miles before you’ll need to charge it up again. If you fancy, you can have a slightly sleeker, sportier-looking Sportback model with a lower roofline and a sharply sloped tailgate. Think of it as a car for the Instagram generation — slick, expensive, and very on-trend. It’s a pretty good-looking car in either form. The nose is very upright and cliff-faced, with the usual massive Audi grille (although, of course, it doesn’t actually need a grille…) and it looks rather more chiseled than the softer, rounder-looking Volkswagen ID.4. You get smart-looking LED headlights, big alloy wheels that run from 19 to 21-inches, and the slope-roofed Sportback definitely cuts a bit more of a dash on the road. The Audi Q4 e-tron has a RRP range of £53,180 to £66,105. However, with carwow you can save on average £1,174. Prices start at £52,131 if paying cash. Monthly payments start at £585. The price of a used Audi Q4 e-tron on carwow starts at £44,765.

Audi will unveil the third member of its E-tron electric car family - the Q4 E-tron Sportback SUV - this evening. The Jaguar I-Pace rival was recently seen in disguised prototype form, showing design familiarity with the larger E-tron Sportback SUV-coupé. Audi confirmed via social media that the production model will be shown at a virtual world premiere, beginning at 6:15pm UK time. Technical details of the new electric model are yet to be revealed, but we can glean some information about the production car from last year's Q4 E-tron concept. That's 4.59m long and 1.9m wide - slightly shorter and wider than today’s Audi Q5. Audi claims the concept has the interior space of a larger model, thanks to the substantial 2.77-metre wheelbase and lack of a transmission tunnel. The Q4 E-tron will be the first Audi to sit on the Volkswagen Group’s MEB bespoke EV platform; the E-tron and E-tron Sportback sit atop an adapted ICE car platform. The Q4 E-tron concept has a dual-motor powertrain comprising a 202bhp, 229lb ft motor powering the rear axle and a smaller motor powering the front wheels when traction is lost or full power is requested. The total system output is put at 302bhp. That's combined with an 82kWh battery pack yielding a WLTP-certified 280-mile range and the ability to charge at up to 125kW - resulting in an 80% charge in just half an hour.
