Every little bit helps! 🤍 Review of Line 6 Pod Go Wireless All-in-one Effects Processor...this really is the only gear you need for playing live or recording. UPDATE: The "thin" sound I described was USER ERROR...DON'T US LINE OUT TO AUDIO INTERFACE...USE AMP OUT. This fattens up the tone. There are also TRS 1/4" to XLR cables for using the main out to a PA or audio interface. Definitely get better, "fatter" tone this way. I guess that's the downfall of digital devices...even the smallest tweak can effect the overall sound. You can dial it in perfect, but every component will affect your sound...volume knobs, tone knobs, cable length, etc. Keep dialing! It's worth it. LOVING THIS THING MORE THE LONGER I HAVE IT. OVERALL RATING: 9/10...a BIG improvement, especially in dynamic responsiveness compared to Line 6 products from 10 years ago. If you've got an HSS pickup guitar, you can dial in settings that go from squeaky clean in the neck pickup to face-melting fusion in the bridge...all on the same preset without touching a button...it's that responsive (check out the ASATO setting in the link). Minus points for learning curve and a bit "thin" through main out, but after 2 days, I've figured it out, and as long as you know how to EQ your settings, you're golden. We're always chasing tone, but this is the highest quality emulation that I've found yet, and though it's a little pricey, it's much cheaper than buying all the analog amps and effects it imitates. I see myself using this for years to come. I'm still going to hang on to my tiny, bedroom-level tube amp (Blackstar HT1R MkII) for the analog tone I crave once in awhile when jamming around the house, but for recording or playing out, this Pod Go is the ticket. So far it's been much easier to record with, and it's super portable, fitting inside a computer bag or backpack. DOWNLOAD PRESETS HERE: 🤍 I'll update this list as I create new ones that I particularly like. Please note, everything affects the sound...your volume and tone knobs, your speakers, your pickups...so if your guitar doesn't sound like mine, there's more than one part of the equation in play. *I forgot to mention that there is a slight tone difference between the wireless relay and a regular cable...the relay is actually brighter! The Line 6 Pod GO I bought after it was announced at NAMM and I've used it for a good while, and thought it was a really decent price relative to the amount of models/options you get, and the Snapshots are I think the best thing about modern Line 6 devices. Then the external connections so you can get a good idea if this will work for you in your setup with your guitar. Then I take you through the workings of the editor program - a high quality Line6 piece of software. I also offer some conclusions, some good and less good points that others never mention in their reviews and offer a score out of ten for the overall package. Lastly, I show a few audio pre-sets, as well as some quality ones I bought from Jason Sadites and show the sort of result I achieved in this low cost effects unit for guitar - the results of the Line6 Pod Go and the pre-sets could be surprising especially for the price overall for this unit. So is the Line6 POD GO an equivalent of or a 'baby' Helix? Check this review to find out and then make your own conclusions. I have already made up mine with a suitable conclusion.
