An astonishing recitation leaving the crowd in awe over this powerful performance. Sheikh Hindawi, an Egyptian Quran reciter and one of the prominent figures in this field. Sheikh Hajjaj al-Hindawi recited the Holy Qur’an in front of former President Muhammad Hosni Mubarak in 1998 after winning first place in the Egyptian Ministry of Endowments’ competition for reciting the Holy Qur’an. He began memorizing the Qur’an at the age of seven, and completed the memorization of the Qur’an at the age of twelve. He had many teachers, with the likes Sheikh Hussein Abdu Yousef, then Sheikh Subhi Ahmed Abdel Aziz, and his brother Sheikh Eid Al-Hindawi, a professor of the Qur’an and readings. Then Sheikh Hindawi, went to improve the provisions of recitation with great proficiency at the hands of Sheikh Abdul-Ati Mahmoud Tuaima, known as Sheikh Attia Tuaima. After the Sheikh completed his studies at the Institute of Readings in Cairo, then he applied to the Egyptian radio as a reader in the year 2000 thanks to the encouragement of Sheikh Abu Al-Enein Shuaishaa, head of the Radio Reciters’ Examination Committee, and thanks to a nomination from the great radio broadcaster Mahmoud Al-Saadani. Allah blessed him with passing all The stages of the test, and he was appointed as the reciter for the radio and television channels on any celebration related broadcast, Fridays and many different programs . In addition to the Sheikh’s participation in many provinces within Egypt, he has had several trips outside Egypt. He traveled to Malaysia, Canada, Indonesia, United Kingdom, Pakistan, Thailand, Australia and many others.
