The Great Tang Mall, also called Grand Tang Dynasty Ever Bright City, is a 2100m pedestrian street, located south of the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda and west of Tang Paradise. It is line with buildings featuring Tang Dynasty (618 - 907) architecture and sculptures telling Tang stories. In addition, tourists can enjoy street performances, a variety of food and shopping here. Every January and February around Chinese New Year, extra activities are held, so it can be one of the best Chinese New Year destinations for you. The best time to come here is at night after the lights are lit up and people start to gather to have fun. Top Things to Do in Great Tang All Day Mall ★★ 1. Spectacular Group Sculptures ★★ The whole pedestrian street is flanked with nine group sculptures in honor of Tang emperors and other historical and legendary figures. Kaiyuan Flourishing Age is the sculpture with the most figures including the emperor Li Longji, his 6 favorite courtiers, 20 envoys and 42 people playing instruments. The sculpture of Li Shimin, who was the second Tang emperor, is the tallest sculpture at 17.95m (19.63yd). Here tourists can also find Wu Zetian, the only female emperor in Chinese history, plus famous poets of Tang Dynasty including Li Bai, Du Fu, Bai Juyi, Wang Wei and others. There are also the four eminent monks who contributed greatly to the spread of Buddhism during that period: Xuan Zang, Jian Zhen, Hui Neng and Kong Hai. ★★ 2. Light Show ★★ All the trees in the Great Tang All Day Mall are decorated with yellow LED strips around the trunk and colorful bulbs on the branches, shining brightly at night. Also, the traditional-style architecture is lit up by spotlights in the air and the bright lights of the buildings themselves. Tourists can also appreciate the lights on the ground, which are shaped like snowflakes, leaves, flowers and Chinese characters. You will feel as is you are walking on a giant painted scroll. ★★ 3. Street Performance ★★ The Tumbler Performance is the most popular performance at the Great Tang All Day Mall. A young lady in Tang clothes stands on a semi-circular base and gently dances without touching the ground, reminding you one of a fairy from the Tang Dynasty. If you are lucky enough, she may interact with you by stretching her hands towards you. In addition, seven different bands perform on the street one after another all day. No matter whether chorus, jazz or rock music, each will generate a relaxing atmosphere. ★★ 4. Piano Path ★★ On each side of the pedestrian street, there is a Piano Path 100m (109yd) long. When tourists tread on the ‘piano keys’, the LED strip will change color, and a pleasant melody will be heard. Everyone can be a pianist here! ★★ 5. Voice-activated Fountain ★★ It may seem weird to see many people shouting in front of a fountain. Actually they are controlling the height of the fountain through the changes in sound. This attraction can truly relieve your stress. ★★ 6. Taste Local Dishes and Snacks ★★ Here, tourists can readily savor the local cuisine including Dumpling Dinner, Mutton Stew (Yangrou Paomao), Cold Noodles (Liang Pi) and Shannxi Sandwich (Rou Jia Mo). In addition, gourmets can also try cuisine from other regions such as Beijing Roast Duck, Sichuan Hot Pot, Chongqing Noodles, and so on! Apart from all the activities and attractions mentioned above, the Great Tang All Day Mall is also home to the Xi’an Concert Hall, Shannxi Opera House, Qujiang Movie City and Shannxi Artists’ Gallery. Discerning tourists can heartily enjoy art here. 0:00 Intro 1:28 Joy City Mall 8:13 Xuanzang Square 10:31 Grand Tang Mall Pedestrian Street 57:33 Special Moments 01:12:06 Shaanxi Opera performance 01:20:31 Xi'an W Hotel - ★★Guys, I'm looking forward to know how you feel about the video.★★ - ★★ City Walking Tours ★★ 🤍 If you enjoy my videos, please ★SUBSCRIBE★ my next walk, 🤍 Love and peace. - #Xi'an

With development of more than 2,000 years, Hubei cuisine, originated from Chu Cuisine in ancient times, has developed a lot of distinctive dishes with its own characteristics, such as steamed blunt-snout bream in clear soup, preserved ham with flowering Chinese cabbage, etc. Guozao is a popular way of saying having breakfast in Wuhan. It is generally said that Guangzhou is the paradise for eating and Shanghai for dressing, while Wuhan is a combination of both. Sitting favorably at the heart of China, Wuhan has gathered and mixed together various habits and customs from neighboring cities and provinces in all directions, which gives rise to both diversity and integration. 1. Hot and Dry Noodles, Re-gan mian consists of long freshly boiled noodles mixed with sesame paste. The Chinese word re means hot and gan means dry. It is considered to be the most typical local food for breakfast. 2. A salty doughnut or Mianwo is a kind of doughnut with a salty taste. Soup dumpling or Xiaolongtangbao is a kind of dumpling with thin skin made of flour, steamed with very juicy meat inside so that is why it is called Tang (soup) Bao (bun), because every time one takes a bite from it the soup inside spills out. ⭐⭐ 4K⁶⁰ Driving In China: 🤍 ⭐⭐ #wuhan #driving

★★ Xi'an City Wall When Zhu Yuanzhang, the first Emperor of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), captured Huizhou, a hermit named Zhu Sheng admonished him that he should 'built high walls, store abundant food supplies and take time to be an Emperor,' so that he could fortify the city and unify the other states. After the establishment of the Ming dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang followed his advice and began to enlarge the wall built initially during the old Tang dynasty (618 -907), creating the modern Xian City Wall. It's the most complete city wall that has survived in China, as well being one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world. After the extension, the wall now stands 12 meters (40 feet) tall, 12-14 meters (40-46 feet) wide at the top and 15-18 meters (50-60 feet) thick at the bottom. It covers 13.7 kilometers (8.5 miles) in length with a deep moat surrounding it. Every 120 meters, there is a rampart which extends out from the main wall. All together, there are 98 ramparts on the wall, which were built to defend against the enemy climbing up the wall. Each rampart has a sentry building, in which the soldiers could protect the entire wall without exposing themselves to the enemy. Besides, the distance between every two ramparts is just within the range of an arrow shot from either side, so that they could shoot the enemy, who wanted to attack the city, from the side. On the outer side of the city wall, there are 5948 crenellations, namely battlements. The soldiers can outlook and shoot at the enemy. On the inner side, parapets were built to protect the soldiers from falling off. ★★ Giant Wild Goose Pagoda (Also As Dayan Pagoda) As the symbol of the old-line Xi'an, Giant Wild Goose Pagoda (also called Big Wild Goose Pagoda) is a well-preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists. It is located in the southern suburb of Xi'an City, about 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) from the downtown of the city. Standing in the Da Ci'en Temple complex, it attracts numerous visitors for its fame in the Buddhist religion and its simple but appealing style of construction. ★★ Bell Tower of Xi'an ★★ The Bell Tower of Xi'an, built in 1384 during the early Ming Dynasty, is a symbol of the city of Xi'an and one of the grandest of its kind in China. The Bell Tower also contains several large bronze-cast bells from the Tang Dynasty. The tower base is square and it covers an area of 1,377 m². The Bell Tower, is a stately traditional building, that marks the geographical center of the ancient capital. From this important landmark extend East, South, West and North Streets, connecting the tower to the East, South, West and North Gates of the City Wall of the Ming Dynasty. ★★ Xi'an Drum Tower ★★ The Drum Tower of Xi'an, located in the heart of Xi'an in Shaanxi province of China, along with the Bell Tower is a symbol of the city. Erected in 1380 during the early Ming Dynasty, it stands towering above the city center and offers incredible view of Xi'an. The Drum Tower is located northwest of the Bell Tower of Xi'an, across the Bell and Drum Tower Square. Both of them are called the 'sister buildings' or 'morning bell and dark drum'. In ancient China, especially from the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368), the drums were used to signal the running of time and on occasion were used as an alarm in emergency situations. ★★ Muslim Quarter, Xi'an ★★ Just as its name implies, the Muslim Quarter, also known as Huimin Jie in Pingyin, is the hub of the Muslim community in Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province. Located to the north of the West Street in the city center, the quarter covers several blocks inhabited by over 20,000 Muslims. There are about ten mosques in the area of the Muslim Street, among which the Great Mosque in the Huajue Lane is the most famous and popular. Muslim food and souvenir market is another feature of the area. The Beiyuanmen Muslim Market located just to the north of the Drum Tower is a great choice after the sightseeing in the city center. About 500 meters (about 547 yards) in length from south to north, the street can be reached through the archway under the Drum Tower. This street is paved with dark colored stone with green trees providing heavy shade during summer; the buildings on both sides of the street are modeled on the styles of both the Ming (1368-1644) and the Qing Dynasties (1644-1911). Some of the constructions are restaurants; while others are stores. But here there is one thing in common: the owners are all Muslims. 0:00 Intro 0:40 Around the Bell Tower 3:28 Around the Drum Tower 6:44 The Muslim food street 30:03 Around the Drum Tower ★★ Guys, I'm looking forward to know what you get from the video.★★ ★★ City Walking Tours ★★ 🤍 If you enjoy my videos, please ★SUBSCRIBE★ my next walk, 🤍 Love and peace. #Xi'an

Driving to Yanilang from Xi'an China in 1990. The drive is over one hour and sometimes we were in total fog and sometimes clear with just the typical life along the road. It was October and the farmer workers placed harvested corn along the edges of the road to dry. This is only a few moments of a much longer video. Much of course has changed in many parts of China since.

The Great Tang All Day Mall, also called Grand Tang Dynasty Ever Bright City, is a 2100m pedestrian street, located south of the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda and west of Tang Paradise. 0:00 Intro 0:43 Walking in the Grand Tang Pedestrian Street 45:12 Around the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda 56:59 The Ice Cream Trick 59:43 Shaanxi Opera Show 01:01:27 Back to Tang Dynasty Dancing Show 01:09:46 Ladies of the Tang Dynasty Show 01:14:05 Walking in the Grand Tang Pedestrian Street 01:21:29 Music Performance Show ★★ Guys, I'm looking forward to know what you get from the video.★★ ★★ City Walking Tours ★★ 🤍 If you enjoy my videos, please ★SUBSCRIBE★ my next walk, 🤍 Love and peace. #Xi'an

Friends, it was a rainy morning in early January in Hangzhou. It was very cold and it was a holiday. Everyone didn’t come out. I drove in the central business district. There was no traffic jam, and it was very pleasant. Hangzhou is a famous tourist city in China. Hangzhou is the capital of Zhejiang Province and the local political, economic and cultural center. As the southern terminus of the Grand Canal, the city is located on the lower reaches of the Qiantang River in southeast China, a superior position in the Yangtze Delta and only 112 mi (180 km) from Shanghai. The subtropical monsoon climate contributes to varied seasonal sceneries, making Hangzhou one of China's most popular travel destinations all the year round. The West Lake is undoubtedly the most renowned landmark, noted for the scenic beauty that blends naturally with many famous historical and cultural sites. The "Ten West Lake Prospects" selected from the most frequently visited attractions around the lake give travelers a panoramic view of the city’s highlights. Take a stroll along the causeway by the lake; you’ll feel the peaceful ethos of the city and better understand its time-honored fame as 'Heaven on Earth'. Hangzhou is one of the most important tourist cities in China. With its enchanting natural scenery and rich cultural heritage, it attracts many visitors. It is gradually being transformed into a city of technology. With a history stretching back 5,000 years, Hangzhou is one of China’s seven ancient capitals. ⭐⭐ 1. Hangzhou has glorious history and culture. ⭐⭐ Hangzhou is one of China's seven ancient capitals and has been designated a "Historic and Cultural City" by the government. Its history can be traced back over 2,200 years to the Qin dynasty (221-206 BC). It flourished after being linked with the north via the Grand Canal, which starts in Beijing and ends in Hangzhou. From 907 to 978 AD, Hangzhou was the capital of the Wuyue Kingdom during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms Period. Then in 1132 it became the capital of the Southern Song dynasty (1127-1279). ⭐⭐ 2. It boasts two World Heritage Sites–West Lake and the Grand Canal. ⭐⭐ West Lake, the symbol of Hangzhou, is regarded as one of the most beautiful sights in China. In 2011, it was recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. It is a perfect combination of temples, pagodas, pavilions, gardens, and ornamental trees, as well as causeways and artificial islands. At a length of more than 2,000 kilometers, the Grand Canal is the longest canal or artificial river in the world, running from Beijing in the north to Hangzhou in the south. It was added to the World Heritage List in 2014. You should not miss a boat trip along the canal to find out about and experience its glorious history. ⭐⭐ 3. Hangzhou is famous for its tea and silk. ⭐⭐ Hangzhou is the birthplace of Dragon Well (Longjing) tea, which is the most famous green tea in China and ranked as first among China's top 10 teas. Ever since ancient times, Hangzhou, known as the "Capital of Tea in China", has been a famous tea-production base in China. Tea culture is an important feature of the city. Hangzhou tea plantations mainly consist of Longjing Tea Plantation and Meijiawu Tea Plantation. Walking round picking tea leaves in a plantation and learning the art of tea-making are memorable experiences. If you are a tea fan, you are welcome to join our 1-Day Dragon Well Tea Culture Tour. Hangzhou is also the historic center of China's silk production. It has always been regarded as the "Silk City".You'll see silk clothing and trinkets everywhere. Hangzhou silk is soft, luxurious, and decorative. It makes a great souvenir to take home once you have visited Hangzhou. ⭐⭐ 4. The best seasons to visit are spring and fall. ⭐⭐ The best times to visit Hangzhou are in spring (March–May) and fall (September–November), when outdoor attractions such as lakes, tea plantations, and water towns can be comfortably visited. You’d better avoid weekends, however, and Chinese public holidays, such as Labor Day (May 1 to 7) and National Day (October 1 to 7). At such times, Hangzhou is always crowded with Chinese people. -⭐⭐ Other Walk East's Cool Playlists: Night Walking Tour In China's Metropolitan Cities: 🤍 4K⁶⁰ Traditional Chinese Architectures: 🤍 China's Stunning Old Towns: 🤍 Shanghai City Classic Scenes: 🤍 4K⁶⁰ Driving In China: 🤍 ⭐⭐ #Hangzhou

Finally, I made my Beijing driving video for you guys. 0:00 Intro 1:29 Xinjiekou Street 17:36 Chang'an Avenue 32:20 Guomao CBD 54:49 Sanlitun Area 1:16:23 Other Downtown Area Beijing, China’s sprawling capital, has history stretching back 3 millennia. Yet it’s known as much for modern architecture as its ancient sites such as the grand Forbidden City complex, the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Nearby, the massive Tiananmen Square pedestrian plaza is the site of Mao Zedong’s mausoleum and the National Museum of China, displaying a vast collection of cultural relics. What is Beijing most known for? The city is renowned for its opulent palaces, temples, parks, gardens, tombs, walls and gates. It has seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites—the Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace, Ming Tombs, Zhoukoudian, and parts of the Great Wall and the Grand Canal—all of which are popular tourist locations. Beijing , also known as Peking , is the capital of the People's Republic of China and one of the most populous cities in the world, with a population of 21.89M as of 2021. The city is the country's political, cultural, and educational center, and home to the headquarters for most of China's largest state-owned companies. The metropolis, located in northern China, borders Hebei Province to the north, west, south, and a small section to the east, and Tianjin Municipality to the southeast. Governed as a municipality under the direct administration of the national government, Beijing is divided into 14 urban and suburban districts and two rural counties. It is a major transportation hub, with dozens of railways, roads and motorways passing through the city, and the destination of many international flights to China. As the capital of the People's Republic of China, Beijing is located in northern China, close to Tianjin Municipality and partially surrounded by Hebei Province. The city covers an area of more than 16,410 square kilometers (6336 square miles) and has a population of 21.89 million people. Beijing is a city with four distinct seasons. Its best is late spring and autumn. But autumn is taken as the golden tourist season of the year since there is sometimes in the spring of recent years, a yellow wind. We suggest tourists visit Beijing during the months of May, September, and October when people can enjoy bright sunshine and blue skies. An abundance of international class performances are presented in May. If you like winter, you will have other chances to appreciate another landscape of Beijing. After skiing in Beihai and viewing the snowy sights on West Hill, enjoying the steaming hotpot is the best choice, which is really the fun of tour in Beijing. Please keep warm and remember to bring your down garments and sweaters when you visit Beijing in the winter. How can one city boast so many phenomenal places? Beijing's long and illustrious history started some 500,000 years ago. It is here that the ancestors of modern Homo sapiens, Peking men, lived in caves. Records show that Beijing has been an inhabited city for more than three thousand years and has endured invasions by warlords and foreign powers, devastating fires, the rise and fall of powerful imperial dynasties and has emerged each time as a strong and vibrant city. For more than 800 years, Beijing was a capital city - from the Yuan Dynasty (1271 - 1368) to the Ming (1368 - 1644) and Qing (1644 - 1911) dynasties. Thirty-four emperors have lived and ruled the nation in Beijing and it has been an important trading city from its earliest days. Few cities in the world have served as long as the political and cultural center of an area as immense. Beijing is one of the Four Great Ancient Capitals of China. It has been the heart of China’s history for centuries, and there is scarcely a major building of any age in Beijing that does not have at least some national historical significance. The city is renowned for its opulent palaces, temples, and huge stone walls and gates. Its art treasures and universities have long made it a center of culture and art in China. Chang'an Avenue Chang'an Avenue (Chang an Jie), literally "the Street of Eternal Peace", was built together with the Forbidden City during the years from 1406 to 1420 in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). It was named after Chang'an (today's Xi'an in Shaanxi Province), a metropolis in the Tang Dynasty (618-907). #Beijing
In this episode of The Driver’s Seat, Henry Catchpole visits a famous road that has always fascinated him - the incredible Tail of the Dragon. It’s obviously not a race track, but it has some of the mystique and atmosphere of the Nurburgring Nordschleife when you rock up in the car park at the weekend. You might see anything from a modded Honda Civic Type-R to a Carrera GT and everyone is there because they have petrol running through their veins. However, away from The Tail of the Dragon, Catchpole finds that there is much, MUCH more to explore in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. In fact this might just be the greatest, most extensive collection of driving roads in the world, with incredible stretches of asphalt scattered all over this amazing, densely forested area. Of course a great driver’s road needs a great driver’s car and they don’t get much better than the Porsche Cayman GT4 RS. With the naturally aspirated engine from the 911 GT3 mounted in the middle of the car it is an absolute joy to drive. In fact the only thing that sounds better than one of these engines revving to 9000rpm is two of them. Or three. Or four. Which is what happened when we met up with some of the cars from Smokies GT. Everything from a 993 RS to a well used 996 GT3 to a PTS 992 GT3 was there and it was wonderful to duck and dive with the cambers, watching the wings and hearing the howls. There was even time to stop and brew coffee on the rear wing of a 997 GT3. All in the name of raising money for the battle against Cystic Fibrosis. We hope you enjoy the episode.
