We’ve got Mat in the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, and he’s going head-to-head against Yianni in the Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye & Racing Driver Sam in the Ford Mustang! So let’s see how these mighty muscle cars compare. Starting with the Camaro ZL1, it’s powered by a 6.2-litre supercharged V8, which would normally deliver 650hp. However, this one’s been tuned, and as a result, it puts down 770hp & 1,000Nm of torque! It delivers the power to the rear wheels via a 10-speed automatic gearbox, and it weighs in at 1,748kg. Next up we have the Dodge. It’s also powered by a 6.2-litre supercharged V8, but it’s completely stock, so it puts down 808hp and 959Nm. Power is sent to the rear wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox, and it’s the heaviest car here, tipping the scales at 1,720kg. Then finally we have the Ford Mustang, which has also been tuned, so as a result it’s housing a 5-litre supercharged V8 under the bonnet that can put down 859hp and 902Nm! Just like the others, it’s rear-wheel drive, but it has one big disadvantage - it’s equipped with a 6-speed manual gearbox! However, it’s also the lightest car here, coming in at 1,720kg. 🤍 Dodge has unveiled its newest special-edition model, the 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170, at the Dodge Last Call Powered by Roadkill Nights Vegas festival in Las Vegas. The Demon 170 is the fastest and most powerful muscle car ever produced by Dodge, featuring a 1,025-horsepower engine that can reach 60 mph in just 1.66 seconds and has the highest G-force acceleration of any production car at 2.004 gs. The vehicle is also the first factory production car to run the quarter-mile under nine seconds with a National Hot Rod Association (NHRA)-certified 8.91-second ET at 151.17 mph. The Demon 170 is delivered with red key fobs and unleashes horsepower levels based on sensing the percentage of ethanol fuel content. According to Tim Kuniskis, Dodge brand CEO, the Demon 170 is "the world’s first sustainable-energy, eight-second, factory-production, street-legal muscle car," and celebrates the end of the HEMI muscle-car era.
