A gentleman in the Casio subreddit posted a super cool photo of his latest mod and in this video I'll walk you through the steps of replicating that goodness. All you need is some Goo Gone, a little elbow grease, and a pack of screen protectors. The blue film that's attached to these screen protectors makes the perfect filter to give this module a face lift! I just recently received my Sensor Watch pcb that I ordered from crowdsupply a little while back. The pcb is a drop in replacement for the Casio F91-W wrist watch that provides GPIO expansion for sensors and a Cortex M0+ processor for custom firmware. This mod works with many digital watches! I spent a total of seven US dollars to make this happen. It could be cheaper depending on how clever you are! Edit 2019/10/30: This modification was inspired by some pictures I saw online, but I just find out that there is also a video of it: 🤍 I uploaded a picture of a Casio A158W with modified face a few weeks ago and received some very positive feedback, so here's the video. This is not the cleanest job, the paint job on the face is not perfect and have some chips that can be seen from close distance. Anyway, I'm happy with the result. This Casio looks clean and minimalistic, would go well with the suit. Will definitely try this with other Casio watches in the future. The machine you see in the video is a vinyl cutter. I used it to cut a precise sticker to mask the crystal. This one is my favourite Casio modification so far. Never been a fan of nato straps especially on Casio watches but I think it's growing on me. Black nato strap goes nicely with stainless steel looking Casio A168WA-1YES body in which I managed to fit an NFC chip that's slim enough to sit comfortably under the LCD. To anyone who's about to comment "iTs uNrEAdaBlE" - please see a doctor (eye or/and brain) and comment your condition in the comment section. Inverted display is perfectly readable just like a normal display. Also, super happy about how backlight looks, electro luminescence is cool. This watch is really easy to work with and mod, you can easily try it yourself with minimal tools. Thank you for watching.
