Need help buying your next car? Click the following link and my team and I will help you choose your ideal car at a fair price - from Mat Watson! 🤍 ............................................................. This is the all-new Nissan Ariya! It’s an all-new all-electric SUV, and Mat’s going hands-on with a prototype edition to see if it will have what it takes to compete with class-leaders like the Mustang Mach-E & Tesla Model Y! And on first impressions, it looks like it may have what it takes! The exterior design is super sleek, with a sloping roofline at the back coupled with a full-length light bar. Up front, there’s a very cool ‘grille’ coupled with some real vents! All in all, it’s easily one of the best looking EV SUVs out there today. But that’s not all - the high quality continues on the inside, too. The overall design seems relatively similar to a BMW iX, although you’ll find a large number of touch-sensitive buttons below a large infotainment screen. Unfortunately, though, the quality of the actual infotainment system isn’t all that great. When it comes to power output and charging, the range-topping Ariya will come with two electric motors that can produce 394hp! The larger 87kWh battery pack should also be good for a claimed range of 310 miles. As you can imagine though, this stylish EV SUV doesn’t come cheap, with prices starting from £42,000 - £15,000 more than a Qashqai! So is it worth it? You’ll have to stick with Mat to see for yourself! This is a Motormouth couple car review of the all-new 2023 Nissan Ariya electric SUV/crossover. There are two battery options for the Nissan Ariya EV , a 63 kWh or 87 kWh battery. FWD and e-4orce AWD with short and long range options. Depending on the model you choose you get a range of power between 214 – 389 horsepower and 221 – 442 lb-ft of torque. AWD models with the larger battery offer the most power, up to 389 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque. FWD models with the larger battery offer the most range up to 490 km/304 miles. We are driving the Nissan Ariya Evolve+ FWD model with an 87 kWh battery, 238 horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque with up to 465 km/289 miles of range. Here is a breakdown of some of the other models available, it’s a bit of a spreadsheet. Nissan's first-ever AWD electric SUV has arrived and the 2023 #NissanAriya is targeting the heart of the segment with the #Ariyae4ORCE. This dual-motor version of the #Ariya offers roughly twice the power and torque of the single motor version, while max range at 272 miles is competitive amongst its rivals. For an extra $4,000, the #e4ORCE version of the #Nissan Ariya seems like a worthy option. We're also on: Instagram: 🤍 Facebook: 🤍 Twitter: 🤍
2023 Nissan Ariya | The Only Fully Cooked Japanese EV? For the latest Nissan Ariya pricing and information: 🤍 The most obvious thing about the 2023 Nissan Ariya’s exterior probably the front end. No grille. Why would you need it? Instead, Nissan’s using a shield with illuminated badging to house sensors for driver’s assistance features like their ProPilot Assist system. The front end with Nissan’s V-motion design headlights incorporated looks modern. If you look closely you can see this graphic pattern eludes to a Japanese ma design style. This is supposed to look like clouds parting as the sun, the Nissan logo, rises. To keep the taillight continuous, they opted for a first of its kind written out NISSAN badge. It gets fender flares that give it a hint of muscularity and a feeling of power. Mazda’s MX-30 does a great job in the looks department, too, but I think I like how the Ariya looks just a bit better. It doesn’t get that super high beltline and feels better proportioned. Because the Ariya rides on an EV exclusive platform, designers didn’t have to work around structures for mechanicals that don’t exist. For example, it doesn’t need to accommodate for a transmission tube or physical connections to the transmission, so there is a flat floor giving you more space that what’s usable in the segment with ICE cars. You get a movable center console for adjustment and comfort. There’s a tray for resting things or stashing stuff. And if you’re not using your wireless charger with your Wireless Apple CarPlay there’s a space where you can wind up your charge cord. Of course, there’s a ton of tech on the interior as well. You’ve got standard dual 12.3-inch screens that stretch from the A-pilar to the center of the cabin. These work in tandem with Nissan’s easy to use UX system to really give the driver a customizable set up for their information and I like how they’re oriented to the driver making them easy to see. There aren’t a ton of physical buttons, but you get haptic feedback controls in this wood finish for HVAC. It’s pretty sensitive but it’s easy to get used to. And I do like that they include a volume knob. Yes, I’m still old school. The interior of the Ariya is incredibly livable. It’s comfortable and spacious and doesn’t feel like it compromises. Materials in the back seat. The Ariya will be available with either one front mounted motor or two motors. The second powers the rear wheels. That gets you AWD or what Nissan are calling e-4ORCE. It will also have two battery size options, either a 63-kWh battery or a larger 87-kWh battery, so there are choices when it comes to buying the car you need or want. The battery lives underneath the center of car giving it a low center of gravity, that makes for solid handling. This little thing turns effortlessly and confidently thanks to that and a lot of structural rigidity. The suspension gives you a cushiony feel without going overboard and going mushy on you. ProPilot assist is the same system that comes on the Rogue, Pathfinder, Altima and other Nissan products and is the latest iteration of their driver’s assistance features. Nissan moved the charge port from the front on the LEAF to the side in case you want to back into a parking spot. On a DC Fast charger you’ll get 100-miles in 15 minutes. The Ariya tops at a 130 kw charge peak – but the good thing about that is no matter if your 350 charger is only pushing 250 or 150 and not at full capacity you’ll always get that 100/15. The base model Venture+ (EPA est range: 304 miles) gets the 87 kWh battery (238-hp/221 lb-ft of torque) and comes well equipped with adaptive cruise control and leather wrapped steering wheel. That base model gets the longest possible range, so if that’s what you’re after you don’t have to spend more dough. You can only get the Venture+ trim with FWD. Pricing starts at $45,950 and deliveries are expected in early fall for the FWD and late fall for the AWD models. Since the Ariya is built in Japan, if you haven’t already reserved one you won’t be eligible for the federal tax credit because that now only applies to cars built in the US and the Ariya is built in Japan. Nissan assures us they’re making strides to qualify again at some point based on the federal government’s latest regulations. The Nissan Ariya has great looks, excellent interior space, respectable driving chops, and more than adequate range for even the most hesitant EV adopters. It feels deliberate and not like something thrown together. Looks like Nissan’s fellow country-folk have some catching up to do. 00:00 2023 Nissan Ariya 00:22 Competitors 1:15 Exterior 2:55 Interior 8:32 Motor & Batteries 9:28 Driving Impressions 16:31 Pricing 6:50 Competitors

The all-new Ariya is Nissan's ultimate expression of style and technology, with each complimenting the other in aesthetics and function. The model's 100% electric vehicle platform removed fundamental limitations and allowed designers to take new approaches to existing components. The styling represents the Ariya's first Nissan Intelligent Mobility "touchpoint," signaling a significant redefinition of Nissan's design philosophy. This new philosophy is based on what Nissan calls Timeless Japanese Futurism – characterized by a distinctive Japanese approach conveyed in a simple-yet-powerfully modern way. Designers embraced this with the keywords sleek, sexy and seamless to communicate how an EV paired with advanced driving capabilities can offer a new perspective to design, function and the ownership experience. Embracing the Japanese term iki, which characterizes the Ariya's chic, cutting-edge nature, the front of the vehicle appears seamless, elegant and fresh. It's highlighted by a shield - a reimagined grille for the EV era. The shield, incorporating a 3-D, traditional Japanese kumiko pattern just under the smooth surface, protects sensing equipment used for ProPILOT functions and Intelligent Key detection without the aesthetics interrupting operation. Nissan's redesigned brand logo is prominently placed at the center of the aerodynamic shield, beaming with crisp definition from the 20 LEDs that compose it. The new brand logo represents Nissan's passion and dedication towards innovation by challenging conventional approaches. In keeping both sun and bar design elements, the logo signals a respect for the company's heritage while moving towards a future of mobility services and electrification. The lower section of the shield is bordered by subtle lighting that illuminates, along with the logo, when the Ariya is ready for operation. Thin LED headlamps, constructed with four 20-millimeter mini-projectors, are combined with sequential turn signals to reinvent Nissan's signature V-motion design. When viewed from the side, the Ariya seems to be constantly slicing the air thanks to a low, sleek roofline. Sporty, five-spoke, 19-inch aluminum wheels (20-inch wheels also available, depending on the grade) communicate the vehicle's dynamic stance and sporty nature. A single, uninterrupted horizon line that stretches across the side profile, linking the front fascia and the rear, conveys linear movement, creating architectural beauty in tension and drama from every angle. The rear of the Ariya is equally striking, characterized by a steeply raked C-pillar that blends flawlessly into the rear deck. The one-piece light blade, representing the rear combination lamps, has been engineered to give a blackout effect when parked, and a consistent red illumination, day or night, when in use. Rear fender flares and a high-mounted rear wing signal the Ariya's powerful EV capabilities. A newly-developed exterior two-tone color package, Akatsuki, expresses the moment just before dawn, as the sun marks the beginning of a new day. The combination of copper with a black roof highlight the body's flowing nature and movement of an EV while the copper tone itself references conductivity and the dawn of a new automotive era. Its stress-free autonomous driving features, concierge-like assistance and seamless connectivity heighten on-road confidence and provides a welcoming environment for the driver and passengers. And with an estimated range of up to 610 kilometers (based on Japan WLTC cycle, subject to homologation), the Ariya is the perfect partner for daily commutes and road trips alike. Staying true to Nissan's heritage of producing fun-to-drive, exciting cars, the Ariya's all-new EV platform has been optimized to deliver exceptional handling. The battery pack sits under the center of the vehicle to ensure a low center of gravity and near-equal weight distribution, front and rear. The battery pack's flat design and integrated cross-member in the battery case, allow the Ariya to have a flat floor and impressive structural rigidity. Suspension components are optimized to take advantage of this, ensuring stable handling and a comfortable ride while also suppressing vibrations and noise from entering the cabin space. In addition to all-new advanced technologies creating a smoother, relaxing ride, the Nissan Ariya also features e-Pedal which allows the driver to launch, accelerate and decelerate down to a stop by using only the accelerator pedal. The twin electric motor, all-wheel-drive Ariya models will feature Nissan's most advanced all-wheel control technology, e-4ORCE. By specifically managing power output and braking performance for smoothness and stability, e-4ORCE enhances driver confidence by tracing the intended driving line over almost any road surface, while never needing to change driving style or input. Over 90% of car buying Americans have chosen internal combustion powered vehicles so far in 2023. Not everyone is ready to buy a radical EV through an app. Ease of use along with local sales and service are high on the list of priorities for many drivers and that presents some opportunity for legacy brands like Nissan to satisfy the general public. Can they do it with the Ariya? In 2023, Tesla handily dominates the American mid-sized electric 5-seat CUV/SUV segment with their Model Y, but it will take a wide variety of EVs to suit every driver. Join Miss GoElectric to discover the ways in which Nissan's top-of-the-line AWD Ariya EV bests the competition and the areas in which Nissan has some catching up to do. This review was filmed on April 8th well before the Platinum+ e4orce trim level was available to the public. The review was published on July 25th with trim in stock at dealerships throughout the nation. It includes information about how the Ariya's upcoming Tesla's Supercharger network support as well as how government incentives impact its ability to compete. Tesla's Model Y offers many unique features, and Miss GoElectric understands that, since she daily drives a 2022 Long Range Dual Motor. In this review she'll cover many Ariya Platinum+ features which some car buyers might be surprised to learn are not available in any Model Y at the time of publishing. Some of those feature include: Hands-Off driving Head Up Display Driver Instrument Cluster Active Noise Cancellation Optional Genuine Nappa Leather Ventilated Front Seats WiFi Hotspot Functionality "Hey Nissan" hands-free voice control Android Auto / Apple CarPlay Amazon Alexa Built-In Satellite Radio (XM) Winter Mode (ability to disable regenerative braking) Passenger Seat Memory Sunroof Which Opens Overhead 360 Camera for Parking Automatic Parking Using Cameras and Ultrasonic Sensors Hands Free Foot Activated Liftgate Eye Tracking and Capacitive Steering Wheel Sensor Intelligent Rear View Mirror Camera Viewing Of course, there are areas in which the Ariya does not fare well against competitors. Detailed first drive of the 2023 Nissan Ariya with the long range 87kWh battery and front-wheel drive. The Nissan Ariya is pretty late launching in Australia, but when it gets here, it will offer Aussie buyers another decent midsize electric crossover option. It’ll mainly compete with the Tesla Model 3, Kia EV6, Hyundai Ioniq 5 and the forthcoming Ford Mustang Mach-E and Volkswagen ID4. The Ariya is relatively laid-back – but our efficiency on the first test was alarming. Let's see how it goes in the real world. The 2023 Nissan Ariya is the electric car that could put the Japanese brand on the EV map. Now, that's a little cheeky to say because a Nissan model, the Leaf small hatchback, held the title of 'world's best-selling electric car' long before EV specialist Tesla even sniffed it. Either way, the Ariya is an on-trend mid-size SUV that goes head-to-head with the all-conquering Tesla Model Y - 2023's best-selling electric car, of course. Needless to say, expectations are high for the all-new model, which ushers in a new era for Nissan. So, in this expert review, CarsGuide Senior Journalist Richard Berry takes an early look at the Ariya and tests it on Australian soil - but not roads - ahead of its official local launch, to find out if it will be worth waiting for. #Nissan #Ariya #Review Timecodes: 00:00 Intro 00:29 Design 01:01 Under the bonnet 01:43 Efficiency 02:06 Driving 05:31 Pricing and features 07:02 Practicality 09:07 Safety 09:33 Ownership 09:48 Verdict Read Richard's full review: 🤍 Check out our Nissan Ariya hub: 🤍 Find more SUVs: 🤍 Visit our EVGuide: 🤍 CarsGuide - Go beyond the test drive Visit our website for News, Reviews, Advice and more: 🤍 Subscribe to our YouTube channel: 🤍 Like our Facebook page: 🤍 Follow our Instagram profile: 🤍 Follow our TikTok profile: 🤍 Follow our Twitter profile: 🤍 Follow our LinkedIn page: 🤍

When a car brand launches something better than expected, journalists - like Stephen Corby, the presenter in this video - sit up and take note. And when brands make cars that don't feel like anything to have worn that badge before, it's a truly special moment. And that's exactly the case with the all-new Nissan Ariya, an electric car / crossover EV SUV that aims to make plug-in motoring a reality for those of us who are ready to think beyond the realms of the X-Trail SUV. This important new model doesn't so much follow in the trails of the Nissan Leaf that has valiantly pioneered the EV game for Nissan - instead, it makes you forget all about the legacy of that car, and realise that the 2022 Nissan Ariya is a vastly different proposition. Not only because of its extensive driving range (electric range up to 533km for the 87kWh battery), but also its packaging and practicality, styling, design, refinement and technology... it's not a Nissan as we know it. And Stephen is absolutely okay with that, as you'll see in this review! 00:00 Intro 00:33 Design 01:03 Practicality 03:12 Driving 06:41 Under the bonnet 07:28 Range and charging 08:23 Verdict Read Stephen's full review: 🤍 Visit our Nissan Ariya hub: 🤍 Check out our EV guide: 🤍 CarsGuide - Go beyond the test drive Check us out: 🤍 Subscribe to our channel: 🤍 Follow us on Twitter: 🤍 Like us on Facebook: 🤍 See our Instagram: 🤍 #nissan #nissanariya #ev #evcars #greencars #electric #carsguide #2022nissan #2022nissanariya
