🔗 🤍 🔗 🤍 In this video I go through the steps to update your plane to iNav 4. You can follow this video starting on iNav 3.0 or 4.0, and get on to the current, latest release 4.1. If coming from 3.0, I'd recommend skipping 4.0. 4.1 is mainly an HD Zero update. But does have some nice Configurator improvements too. The rest is the same as 4.0. This video also covers a few important aspects which can get missed: 🛩 Some unexpected parameters changing when you re-apply the Airplane defaults. 🛩 If coming from 3.0 to 4.x, there is a change where some parameters are now stored. Welcome to the fourth video in the Tuning iNav Explained series. In this video, Marc and I look at the Advanced Tuning page in iNav; going through the settings that can be used to tune the plane in autonomous flight. Following on from that, we take a closer look at the in-flight tuning OSD, which is a part of the INAV Fixed Wing Group Pro OpenTX model (link below). Marc discusses the adjustments and also the data visible to you. If you would like to use a full tuning OSD like this, but don’t want to use the IFWG Pro model. 🔗 🤍 🔗 🤍 In this video we take a look at how to get PINIO operating in INAV. This is a useful function for operating devices remotely. Devices include the Caddx Peanut and Walnut action cameras, among other things. For example, I we can use it to power on, start recording, stop recording, and then power off a Caddx Peanut. This video shows a basic setup for doing this. I have also created an article that shows how to make a far more accurate way to trigger the short and long presses needed to control the device. You may notice in the video that when I demonstrate with the momentary switch, it's not that easy to guess the timing. Using the logic switches, we can guarantee that short and long presses will work as required. NOTE: Always refer to the detail in the INAV release notes for the best practice. Lots of things change from one version of INAV to the next. I would always recommend that you start from scratch with a new install of INAV and use screenshots to setup the model. If you use the Diff All, you may need to reapply the model defaults after uploading the file to have the right default P and I settings. (see pinned comment). This series got sidelined by DJI goggle limitations. INAV 5 has now resolved GPS? magnetometer orientation within the application despite the lack of DJI canvas mode. The 10 inch drone is not working as planned to start on, so I will refit the GPS and LIDAR to the newly remodeled Shendrone Insider which now has 5 inch shallow ducts and is essentially a giant cinewhoop.

In this video, I create a new model on my transmitter for use with iNav. I show how I'm setting up all the functions, and how they need to be set up in iNav its self. The functions I have are: - AETR control (4 channels) - Arm switch (1 channel) - 8 flight mode selections, with easy to access RTH and manual (1 channel) - 4 additional modes, using 2 switches. I have Auto-trim, auto-tune, launch, and 1 other, which I've decided to use for LEDs (1 channel) - 5 position OSD selection (1 channel) - In flight adjustments using trims (2 channels) - In flight VTx power level adjustment (uses the same channels as above) This is a long video, so I have divided it in to chapters. I actually reinstalled my computer half way through making this video, and have moved to a new video editing package. I will make sure the audio is better and consistent for the next video I record. How to Copy Settings From One Board to Another with the iNav Configurator

Howdy, copying the settings from one flight control board running iNav to another board is dead simple, all you need to use is the "diff" command to find out what the differences are, then copy these and paste them in the CLI on the new board. More details below, Press SHOW MORE to see them, Matt Basic Instructions 1. Connect the board you want to copy 2. Open iNav 3. Click on CLI from the left menu 4. Type "diff" and press enter 5. Highlight and copy the settings 6. Disconnect that board and connect your other board 7. Click on CLI from the left menu 8. In the bottom box, paste the settings in and press enter 9.
