Horizon Zero Dawn is Guerrilla Games' first intellectual property since Killzone in 2004 and its first role-playing game. The game engine, Decima, was developed for Killzone: Shadow Fall and altered for Horizon Zero Dawn. Did you know... In the Original Horizon Zero Dawn, it's possible to find the Creepy doll from Death Stranding 2 years before the game released. The remains of Sam can by found still wearing the Chiral Network's necklace too. And then in Death Stranding we can find Aloy and a Tallneck as a holograms. HORIZON ZERO DAWN PC All Cutscenes (Game Movie) 4K 60FPS ULTRA HD Remember to Subscribe and hit the bell! The Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition has released on PC. There were some glitches here and there, and the lip syncing is still pretty bad, but not of that is enough to really hate on this amazing game. It looks beautiful and the gameplay still holds up well 3 years later. Definitely worth the replay! We just played it on "Story" difficulty this time around, just to get through it quicker. As always we used relevant gameplay, important dialogue and all cutscenes to stitch together a fluid cinematic experience. We hope you enjoy! The story is set in the 31st century, in a world where humans live in scattered tribal-like populations with limited access to technology. Their technologically advanced predecessors are remembered as the "Old Ones". Large robotic creatures, known as "machines", dominate the Earth. For the most part, they peacefully coexist with humans, who occasionally hunt them for parts. However, a phenomenon known as the "Derangement" has caused machines to become more aggressive towards humans, and larger and deadlier machines have begun to appear. There are three tribes that are prominently featured: the Nora, the Carja, and the Oseram. The Nora are fierce hunter-gatherers who live in the mountains and worship nature as the "All-Mother". The Carja are desert-dwelling city builders who worship the Sun. The Oseram are tinkerers known for their metalworking, brewing, and arguing. This is the story of Horizon Zero Dawn, the hit 2017 PlayStation 4 exclusive game, edited into a movie. This video has been optimized for viewing on an HDR display, using an HDR capable youtube player. I've been looking forward to making this game into a movie for a long time. I'm glad the community waited until now to vote for this game as my next video game movie, because now I have the ability to capture in 4K and HDR, and dear god this game deserves that treatment! This is one of the few pieces of HDR content out there I know of that actually makes use of the full 10,000 nit range in HDR. In fact, 20% of the screencaps I took during making this movie measured in at the full 10,000 nit range! This means that while the game looks great on modern TVs, it's actually future proof to look even better when brighter TVs come out in the future! If some of you are unfamiliar of the work I do, I try my best to translate the story of video games into a movie experience that anybody can enjoy, whether they play video games or not. Because of that goal, I work as hard as I can to try to cut down gameplay to the minimum you need to understand the story without causing plot holes, and remove as many of the "game indicators" on screen. In the case of this game, that comes in the form of notifications for new locations and levels, as well as the tools panel which appears in the corner during combat sections. Thankfully, the game has given me the ability to disable everything else on screen, which I absolutely made use of. Of course this did make some things, such as aiming or navigating more difficult, but I always made sure to watch walkthroughs before playing the game to at least be familiar with the layout of the levels, and tried my best to align the center of my screen with the object I was aiming (in the future I may attach something to my screen to help with this) In order to remove those gameplay indicators, I used a combination of editing, cropping, and visual effects. Thankfully, this game made it so there weren't a huge number of VFX needed, only about 45 shots in the whole movie, totalling about 3000 frames. This was much better than some of my projects, which required hundreds of VFX shots, but the movie was still a long one to create. While I try to trim down the gameplay wherever possible to focus on the story as possible, this is still a pretty long game. On my first playthrough, I was 65 hours into it before I finished the story! Of course, there is a lot of exploration and side content that fills that, but it's still a fairly large story, hence the 6 hour run time here. Considering I have also begun manually transcribing the subtitles of all of my movies, that's obvious also a lot of work when the movie is that long. The story of the Horizon franchise is A LOT. There’s dense lore, a multitude of important characters, and plenty of earth-shattering revelations. And while the franchise is only really just getting started, we’ve had more than enough happen across a single game and its DLC expansion to warrant a story refresher. So whether you played Horizon Zero Dawn on release in 2017 or you’re just jumping in for Horizon Forbidden West, let’s break down the story so far. The Horizon franchise plays out its grand narrative of tribal politics and robot dino-animal-things in the 31st century in the wake of a cataclysmic robot-apocalypse that has wiped out the majority of humanity. Those that have survived have formed tribes, and are living their lives largely devoid of the technological advancements of their predecessors, who are widely known as the ‘Old Ones’. Horizon Zero Dawn features four of these tribes: The Nora - deeply religious warrior-hunters from the south, who worship at the altar of ‘All-Mother’ - a mystical mountain; the Carja, who reside in the bustling cities of the central deserts and revere the Sun God; the Oseram - a tribe of practically-minded forgemen and women; and the Banuk, who are a mountain-dwelling tribe of hunters and shaman. The tribes aren’t exactly all on friendly terms either - with the Carja being notorious for raiding their rivals under the leadership of the Mad Sun King, Jiran. Scattered across the stunning post-apocalyptic landscapes are animal and dinosaur-like robots known as ‘machines’, who for the most part peacefully coexist with the tribes. So anything we say about the game, you should take with that particular grain of salt. Horizon was definitely a surprise for me. The concept seemed ridiculous to me when it was first revealed. "Robot Dinosaurs? Really???" But like everything else, you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. In terms of visuals, this is definitely one of the best looking games on this console generation. The world in Horizon Zero Dawn is lush, beautiful, and full of detail. On the PS4 PRO it ran a steady 1080p at 30fps and never felt like it dipped. Guerilla Games makes sure to make the most out of the pretty visuals too, by having a wide variety of locations (desert, jungle, mountains) to explore freely. The open world is huge in this game, and almost feels daunting when you first get to see the full map. The story is excellent, well paced and engaging. There are a couple mysteries in the game that keep you hooked and keep you wanting to continue just to find out what has happened to Earth. I'm not going to sit here and tell you that it's devoid of some big plot holes but that goes with most video game stories. The story is where the game is the strongest. Guerilla Games did a great job here spreading out all the mysteries and creating some interesting characters you cared about. With that being said, sometimes the lip sync felt slightly off, which would take me out of the immersion. Some of the voice acting was stilted as well. The main characters' voice acting were all great, but some of the side characters sounded like they were reading from a script. Gameplay-wise, the game is fun and action-packed. Aloy's movements are fluid and you always feel like you have full control over her. It's also nice that they added some platforming type sections where you feel like you're playing Uncharted or Tomb Raider. It's not a huge mechanic in the game, but there are plenty of sections in the story where you have to make an epic getaway, or get up to a high place, and the little parkour element is a nice change of pace. The core fighting mechanic is shooting your arrows. Overall this is fun because you can craft different type of arrows, and unlock stronger bows and spears. It can start to feel repetitive at times. I think the they could have made the hand to hand combat better so it would be more viable to use as a normal tactic. The melee aspect feels to slow to use consistently. But a lot of your combat style depends on how you choose to level up your skill trees. You might be a stealthy player, and level up your stealth abilities first to tailor your gameplay that way. Overall, this is an early contender for game of the year. It took us a little over 20 hours to beat the main story. As you guys can imagine, we tend to rush things because of the type of content we do. If you took your time and explored more than we did, you could easily double or even triple your playing time on the game.
