Complex Dent Repair Without Filler & Paint... Take a few moments to look at this Skoda rear door. Yes it looks bad to say it politely! Our customer popped in to speak with us about their unsightly damage left as a present by another vehicle driver…. —How the repair was undertaken— To start the repair the bottom trim was removed, showing further damage (to be expected) a few carefully placed glue pulls relived the stress of the damage and it was halved in size… The next pull concentrated on the bottom bodyline which popped out almost biblical! The upper bodyline and crown where a different story and required constant tension from a carefully placed CamAuto crease tab and a hydraulic pulling tower which was stretched for a good few hours while other glue pulling and tools (dent bars) where used to reshape the damaged area. Paintless Dent Repair for beginners by a first time a DIY guy. It looks so easy when all the PDR pros do it on youtube, so I wanted to try it out on my car. What did I have to lose? Paintless dent repair is where you adjust the sheet metal on your car to be flat again. If there is a low spot pull it out. If there is a high spot, tap it down. When it's smooth again, you are done! You don't have to be an auto body pro to pop out a door ding. Don't be afraid to try this on your car, unless it's precious. For me, it's all about learning a new skill and having a little better car in the end. I'm stoked that I did this pops a dent kit. I got a couple door dings and dents out since filming this. Take your time, you can get great results if you pay attention to what you are doing. This is a great way to repair hail damage too. The kit I got has glue tabs, a hot glue gun, glue sticks, a slide hammer, a rubber hammer, a t-handle puller, a bridge puller, and a dent lifter. I also suggest a heat gun to reuse the glue on the tabs since it just needs to get hot to melt again and is faster than the glue gun. Get your own dent repair kit with these affiliate links. Gene is using a 7mm tab that is just a little over half of the size of the crease. Make sure to take your time, and line it up so the pull does the correct job. He also used Bistro Chalk markers to mark the edges of the damage. He uses the dual feet setup to pull on the tab. Then the single setup to finish. Using traditional tools he completes the repair. Hi everyone, here’s my latest dent repair on a brand new 2022 Land Rover Defender! This paintless dent removal has everything, bodyline damage, kinked panel edge, trim removal, glue pulling (GPR) and traditional pushing (PDR)! The large dent was caused by a cow rubbing up against the wing, seriously! Fortunately the paintwork was completely unmarked, which made this the perfect candidate for a paintless dent removal repair. This wing was originally down for replacement at a bodyshop. This would of meant blending the colour into the adjacent panels, and having a lengthy amount of time off the road. This was repaired in less than a day, and saved a new wing, and kept the all important factory paintwork finish. In the video you can see how we start the repair, panel prep and cleaning, glue pulling, knocking down the crowns and high spots, pushing out the micro lows with the paintless dent repair tools, to finishing off with a polish. This car was hit hard in a recent hail storm leaving it destroyed with dents. Hail damage this severe takes time and a lot of patience. Using the right pdr dent tools can help speed the process up. I used hot glue with a dent lifter on the rails. The dents on the roof were repaired with a dent hog and whale tails. The dent hog had a soft tip to remove a large amount of metal with less pushing.
