Vans Italy is excited to drop Piazzetta – the latest team video from our Italian crew. Piazzetta in Italian means “small square”. The plan was for the Italian Vans skate team to visit some of their most-loved home spots, sharing the same ledge where they grew up as skaters. They kicked things off in Milano Centrale, then made their way to Torino’s Piazza Castello. Next up was Bologna’s Memoriale della Shoah and finally wrapped things up in Reggio Emilia’s Piazza Martiri del 7 Luglio. Four different cities with four different colours of marble and cobblestones. This past weekend Vans Shop Riot headed to Wave Skatepark, for the Italian leg of Shop Riot 2017. 22 stores from all over Italy battled it out in order to be crowned the "Best Skate Shop" of this peninsula, whilst earning a spot at the next European finals in Milan. After a fierce qualifying session which went up until the last trick, “Milanese” born Tony Marello’s shop provided a consistent performance spanning across the entire park, earning them fourth place. Paper Shop from Romagna finished up third with an array of technical tricks across some of the gnarliest parts of the park. Second place went to Bastard Store, however they suffered through an injury to local ripper Aref Koushesh, who could not skate in the final, but was replaced by Edo Paris. Needless to say, the team didn’t give up despite the setback with Jacopo Carozzi literally on fire. On the day, the spoils went to Flame Shop, who killed the rail with continuous flip tricks, and managed to tear up every part of the giant concrete park. Final Ranking: 1. Urban Decorum is Pigeons Family latest full length video by Alberto Della Beffa. It shows three years of skating around Italy and Europe with all the components of the crew and lots of friends. The title wants to question the definition of urban decorum, which often accepts issues such as the visual violence of unrestrained advertising while condemning behaviors such as graffiti art or skateboarding as disturbing elements. Instead, skaters are the only active part of the population on the public space. Martino e Nicola di Venafro per una Festa in maschera all'insegna dell'allegria e del divertimento. Protagonisti della serata tutti i PARTECIPANTI, ma in particolare i piccoli-grandi animatori, e cioè: Vincenzo Villani, Mattia Martino, Andrea Veneziano, Luca Del Prete, Gian Marco Di Cicco, Carlo Zullo, Luisa Cifelli, Chiara Andreozzi, Francesca Iannuccilli e Chiara Paolozzi.
