İnsanlık binlerce yıldır çıplak gözleriyle gökyüzüne her baktığında güneş sisteminde bulunan Merkür’ü, Venüs’ü, Mars’ı, Jüpiter’i ve Satürn’ü rahatlıkla görebilmiştir. Bizler bu gezegenleri binlerce yıldır görebildiğimiz için, onların tam olarak ne zaman keşfedildiğini bilemiyoruz. Ancak 19.yüzyılda yaşanan bilimsel devrimlerde, sistemimizin içerisindeki bazı gezegenleri çıplak gözlerle göremeyeceğimizi fark ettik. Bu gezegenlerse Uranüs ve Neptün’dü. Uranüs ve Neptün’ün keşfi sırasında yaşananlarsa, bilim insanlarını Merkür ile Güneş arasında olan bir başka gezegenin olduğuna inandırmıştı. Vulcan adı verilen bu gezegen, 1859 ile 1919 arasındaki 60 yıl boyunca dünyadaki en parlak astronomlar tarafından gece gündüz aranmış ve yolun sonunda karşılaşılan gerçek, tüm astronomi dünyasını sarsmıştı. Bu hafta Merkür ile güneş arasındaki Vulcan gezegeninin hikâyesine göz atıyor ve onu arayanların başından nelerin geçtiğine bakıyoruz. Aslında seneler önce izlemiştim ben bunu. Çok beğenmiştim, daha çevirilerin yer aldığı bir kanalı idare edeceğimi düşünmeksizin, "bunu bir ara çevirmeliyim" demiştim. T-Ding cycle shoes from AliExpress, they may be cheap, but how do they stack up against a pair of real Fizik shoes? I’ve been using my pair of Fizik Tempo Overcurve R5 road cycling shoes for the last year, and they are incredible. The T-Ding ‘Zapatillas Ciclismo’ shoes from AliExpress look remarkably similar to my Fizik pair, but should you get them? If you’ve watched a few of my videos, you’ll know I love using cheap Chinese cycling equipment and accessories. It can save you some cash, and in a lot of cases, the stuff you get is as good as some of the premium brands, but cycle shoes are something I’ve always spent some decent money on. I’ve used Specialised S-Works, Scott, and Fizik cycle shoes throughout my cycling career, with both Shimano SPD-SL and Look Keo cleats, so have a pretty good understanding of how a good pair should perform. AliExpress and Ebay always have some attractive propositions on this front, but they always seem a bit too good to be true. But never one to pass up an opportunity to test some cheap Chinese cycle gear, I bought the T-Ding pair, and put them through their paces. I this review, I’ll give you my verdict. Full explanation of the Fizik spine concept saddle system. Easy to understand which saddle to choose and fully explains the benefits of each. To help you select your correct (and most comfortable) fi’zi:k saddle, we’re going to explain fi’zi:k’s Spine Concept™ saddle fit system. Fi’zi:k saddles provide comfort and support when riding in the ‘performance position’ (suggest demonstrating somehow – aero position, leaning over the bars, either on tops or drops). There are 3 distinct saddle shapes (point to shapes 1, 2, 3 – in a row from left to right – Arione, Antares, Aliante. 1 of these 3 saddle shapes will fit you better than the other 2. To find out which of the 3 shapes you will find the most comfortable, we need to establish how your body achieves the performance position on a road bike. Depending on your degree of spinal flexibility, it varies from man to man how exactly your pelvis interacts with the saddle surface. It is this variation in the way mens’ pelvises contact the saddle that requires fi’zi:k to produce 3 distinct shapes so that there is a saddle for everyone. Here is the quick test to establish your degree of spinal flexibility Stand sideways to your friend, with your legs straight and a shoulder’s width apart. Lean over and go down as low as you can, until you start to feel your hamstrings slightly. Hold that position for a few seconds whilst ensuring you’re not bending your legs. (Don’t push yourself unduly, it’s not a competition to see how low you can go, and we don’t want you to injure your hamstrings!) Ask your friend to classify the angle you were able to hold between your straight legs and your back. Remember, this test has nothing to do with whether your hands can touch the floor or not! People have very differing arm lengths. This test enables you to work out your degree of pelvic rotation when riding in the performance position. You result will be either: 1. Snake (less than 90° between your back and your straight legs) – demonstrate or use Spine Concept™ images. 2. Chameleon (90°m between your back and your straight legs) – demonstrate or use Spine Concept™ images. 3. Bull (more than 90° between your back and your straight legs) – demonstrate or use Spine Concept™ images. If you are a Snake, you will achieve the performance position using your spinal flexibility alone, not rotating your pelvis at all. You will find the flat (unsupportive) and narrow shape of the Arione model comfortable. If you think you might benefit from a relief channel to relieve ‘between-the-legs’ pressure, consider using the Arione VS (7mm-deep relief channel) or Arione VS-X models (20mm-deep relief channel). Perhaps demonstrate pelvic rotation with your hands or a pelvis on the saddle, if possible. I suggest showing each saddle when mentioned. If you are a Chameleon, your degree of spinal flexibility helps you so far, before you need to rotate your pelvis slightly to achieve the performance position. You will find the increased curvature and width of the Antares to be comfortable. If you think you might benefit from a relief channel to relieve ‘between-the-legs’ pressure, consider using the Antares VS (7mm-deep relief channel) or Antares VS-X models (20mm-deep relief channel). Perhaps demonstrate pelvic rotation with your hands or a pelvis on the saddle, if possible. I suggest showing each saddle when mentioned. If you are a Bull, your spinal flexibility will reach its maximum quite quickly when attempting to adopt the performance position. For this reason you will rotate your pelvis fully. You will find the increased curvature (support) and width of the Aliante to be comfortable. If you think you might benefit from a relief channel to relieve ‘between-the-legs’ pressure, consider using the Aliante VS (7mm-deep relief channel) or Aliante VS-X models (20mm-deep relief channel). Perhaps demonstrate pelvic rotation with your hands or a pelvis on the saddle, if possible. I suggest showing each saddle when mentioned. Do I need a relief channel or not? This really is down to personal preference. Many men find that by being supported well on their ‘correct’ theoretical saddle shape solves their previous woes. Others, however, will swear by the mantra ‘any relief is welcome relief’. I’ll let you decide. Finally - once you’ve established which saddle shape you’ll find most comfortable, according to your degree of spinal flexibility and pelvic rotation, and whether you’d like a relief channel or not, you’ll need to choose your: -Colour(s) -Materials -Weight -and….how much you’d like to spend
