Can using a knife for self defense land you in jail in Canada? In Canada you are not allowed to carry balisongs, automatics or out the front knives. You are not allowed to have knives that open with the use of gravity or automatic knives where you press a button and the blade deploys. Canadian knife law is about intent and purpose, you can carry knives as tools but must have a reason for carrying the knife. Carrying a knife while you're camping is ok, carrying the same knife into a bar is not. Canada Tire has a number of brands for goods. The two that apply to folding knives are Outbound which = lowest quality, and Huntshield which = their highest quality. Another brand that MAY be held by Canadian Tire is the "Yukon Gear" line which is definitely lower than Huntshield. I have done a review on a Huntshield folder that is pretty good but these other two brands seem to be fairly poor quality.

This is a carbon steel scandi grind knife from Canada. Grohmann GR3 (three not four like in the video). Scales material is stabilized Redwood. Quote from Grohmann knife page: "Depending on the sheath, this knife is either the a. Canadian Army knife, b. Boat Knife, or c. The Yachtsman knife." I'm going to make a Boat knife sheath for this cool little full tang. Pleasure for my eye and feel of the grip in the hand. This was my secong full tang from Grohmann knife. Knife Crimes on the rise 3 people dead after stabbings in Montreal, suspect in custody, police say Montreal police are investigating after three people were fatally stabbed on Friday, and sources tell Radio-Canada that the victims and suspect are members of the same family. According to the Service de Police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), a 911 call was placed at around 9:20 a.m. regarding people in need of assistance inside an apartment building near the corner of Bélanger and Viau streets in the Rosemont neighbourhood. Officers found the three victims on the property and their deaths were confirmed at the scene, triggering a major police operation. Police have not confirmed the link between the suspect and the victim. A spokesperson for the SPVM said each of the bodies suffered wounds from a sharp object. In a video circulating online, police officers are seen subduing a bare-chested suspect, pinning him to the ground. According to Radio-Canada, the suspect needed to be hospitalized.
