I’m curious if I were to lose my phone and have to buy a new one would I be able to recover photos on iCloud storage if they were only on my phone that I had lost with say the new phone that I bought?

I used to just upload all my photos to my laptop but then one day it just didnt want to connect to my phone anymore, wasnt to do w space or anything. And yesterday i tried to get my dad to back it up on his computer. But it only gives option to wipe it phone or to upload stuff from 2019 on it

I just dont see the point. It’s confusing. What if i delete a bunch of old photos. And then i want them back in a few years time, or accidentally deleted something. How TF am i getting back onto my camera roll. Also i dont want things to save onto my family’sdevices

I have 50gb but for some reason my i wont upload more then 5gb of photos
Hi Michael. Thank you for sharing. Can you tell me please. How can I remove items from iCloud? I’d like to free up some storage. Does iCloud just keep syncing like a backup. Put older new files on top of older etc. not just photos. I’ve been trying to learn about this and can’t find what I’m looking for. Thank you for your time
