Hello friends & welcome to my scalp! In this episode, I try something I've been wanting to try for literal months - a professional scalp exfoliation!! As some of you may know, I do like to delve into different algorithmic rabbit holes on good ole' YouTube, and recently, YouTube has been showing me a lot of ASMR Head Spa videos, where ASMRtists get their scalps professionally cleaned to unclog their hair follicles and promote healthy hair & regrowth. And so, I decided to venture to the Blow Me Away Salon in LA to get a Japanese Head Spa treatment, and finally give my head the spa day it deserves. What do you guys think? Would you try something like this? Apologies if my scalp is too disturbing, lol. Also - just a heads up, there *are* other contributing factors to dandruff besides just dirty scalp - I think in my case, I just have a lot of buildup, and Arisa zeroed in on that in relation to my particular head. Also also - in terms of maintaining your scalp care at home, Arisa just mentioned using specific scalp cleansing products & serums about once a week! Also also - I noticed that some of you guys are skeptical about some of the ingredients of the products & the treatment as a whole - totally fair for you guys to have criticisms about it, I wasn't trying to vouch for every individual ingredient, or for how effective this would be for everybody - I personally enjoyed it, and I just thought it would be interesting to know what they say are the active ingredients. I'll be sure to keep your thoughts in mind for next time we make a video in this arena. H-iM_JhNzIQ&t=7m11s 7:11 wait but can we talk about how sweet it was that arisa thought to have saf do that because she knew she’d like to?
Age of Empires Let's Plays??? Saf I think we were meant to be friends.
This is my dream
TIL I hate asmr lol
I am just now seeing this and this is what I just saw on insta and I was like I want this
Lol the “riiiiiiiiiiiise”
how do i get this done to my brain
How much does this cost?
ey dont apologize for how your head looks in the video its how everyone looks when their neck is pressed against a sink
If anyone knows of somewhere in the U.K. doing this, around maybe Lincoln, Kings Lynn or Cambridge, please reply
I'd definitely watch Spa-husband the series. It'd be an expensive series to make, but oh so relaxing.
Can you do some of these steps at home? I'd like to take care of my scalp, but I can't really afford going to the spa. I'm curious if there's things I can do at home that aren't so costly 🤔
this was interesting, but I feel like this is pretty fearmongering-y. Natural hair oils are what protect your head. I have three foot long hair. If I scrubbed my scalp every single day with shampoo in a hot shower to get rid of the natural oils my hair would be raggedy and damaged from the excessive constant cleaning. Skin is just another organ designed to protect the body. Yes it needs to be cleaned and maintained, but blasting it with a high pressure hose to make it "Sparkle" is damaging long term.
I went to a spa once to do that thing where you see your face under the light that shows oil and wrinkles in HD. The lady said I had less wrinkles for my age and my skin was super hydrated but "gasp" oh no, minor oil build up in my eyebrows...Like, if everything else is healthy and hydrated well because there is natural oil why should I care about the areas covered in hair and protecting my face? Why should I blast away all the natural oil with an expensive wash to then drip on an equally expensive brow and scalp serum?
Cool video, interesting concept.
I totally get the criticism, but it seems to me the hair spa is the same as any facial you can get at a spa. They're treatments you can do at home and for much cheaper and its never something you NEED to do or especially spend a lot of money on, BUT you still get results and if you like the luxury and the spa experience then there's nothing wrong with it.
I love that Tyler got a spa treatment too!
I have to find one of these by me but I feel like Kentucky probably isn’t a prime place for a head spa.
I am so glad Tyler got to do it too. You guys actually sold me on trying to find this service in my area
yay spa husband!!
This is gonna sound really weird, but I feel like if I saw my scalp (or my face) under a microscope I would become so obsessed with having to fix it
(I really hope I'm not the only one)
