that's why im keeping my EG6
7 minutes and 13 seconds that demonstrate why Chris Harris is the GOAT of motoring journalists.
Hot hatches are awesome, hopefully they continue
The type R is slower than all the other hot hatches on for sale today lol golf r is faster in a drag race
We need to get Chris in an EK9
No.. problem with the hot hatch is the hot hatch was built for the every day person.. what every day person can afford nearly £50k for a hot hatch?! I wouldn't buy a civic for 50k joke! I'll stick with my fd2!
Honda CRX SiR was a hot hatch well before the ep3 Type R
You forgot the CRX!!!
Type R lost its soul way back, it was supposed to be a lightweight minimalist sports car
Car journalists killed the hot hatch sector. I remember when they started doing track shootouts in evo magazine. Then the nurburgring era came afterwards. It wasn't about how lively or how much character a car had anymore. It was how fast can it go round a track or the nurburgring. Journalists scoffed at lighter lower spec cars in favour of cars like the heavy golf with leather seats, air con and 19 inch wheels.
Sad thing is the same is happening to motorcycles last few years and will end up as boring as cars are to drive now.
I’d love to buy a nice, quick, hot hatch….but they’re $40k+
At this point of time, will there be sports car in the next 20 years? The current car industry is just focusing on getting as much profit as possible. They have lost their passion. There's no soul handling the company, only money making machines.
wrong the ek civic type r hatch was the hottest hot hatch
Toyota GR Yaris is the best little hot hatch. Nothing can beat it on A and B roads straight out of the box and at 260bhp it can be tuned to 500bhp
One day hatchbacks will be in again. EF SIR my favorite civic
Oh no, the hot hatch qualities are going to a downfall!?
Paddy McGuinness is confirmed Italian, he'll be the best voice-over for Mario in the new Super Mario Movie!
A type r should stand out of the crowd , look a bit mad !
Now people who would buy the vag cars will be driving them!
Im sorry but the civic is not a hot hatch... no more than the 86 or supra are hatches..
